Stumbling through life with a purpose (to enjoy time with my wife, friends and family) Reluctant Product Owner @ SBB, Passionate Software Engineer Lit Maintainer I have been engaged in IT for more than twenty years and during that time I have worked at companies both large and small, in backend and frontend. I have worked for industry machine automation, logistics, banking and nearly ten years ago I ended up at the SBB/CFF/FFS. First purely for frontend development, I slowly worked my way back into backend and also into DevOps with Kubernetes/OpenShift. After being asked to take over the maintenance and facilitation of the frontend stack (Angular) and the development of the UI library sbb-angular, I also moved closer to the ESTA (Entwicklungsstack) Cloud team and post COVID, was granted the position of team lead/product owner. With that team we developed the Lyne Design System as a successor to sbb-angular and also the ESTA Tekton CI/CD stack, which is now widely used within the SBB. As we were developing the Lyne Design System, we eventually adopted the Lit Library as the base for custom element/web component implementation. Due to that I started taking part in the Lit community, contributed code and effort to the project and at the beginning of this year was accepted as an official Lit Maintainer.
