Bogdan is a FrontEnd engineer with a strong focus on user experience, performance, and problem-solving beyond just writing code. With a background spanning web development, technical writing, and design, he has a passion for tackling complex challenges, whether it’s designing performant and scalable UIs, improving collaboration within teams, or advocating for better developer experiences. Off the code, Bogdan has more hobbies than one can count, his latest being a Lead Singer in a rock band, as well as developing his woodworking skills.

What I learned from 600 hackers in a room, working with AI
After participating as a mentor two years in a row in Start Hack, I'll share some insights into what strategies students picked, what models were most used, patterns and caveats of AI use, and, of course, the benefits of having widespread access to these tools. Context: START Hack is a massive, 600 student hackathon (Europe's largest student hackathon), where partners provide problem statements, and teams work tirelessly for 36 hours, concluding with a round of pitches.
